Lego Mindstorm Project (2016)
We programmed our robot to get to the top of the hill at the fastest of it's ability. Once there, it stayed at the top of the hill waiting for the opponent. We had an ultrasonic sensor on the front of it, and programmed it to spin the wheels in the front if it sensed an object infant of it. We successfully flipped over a few of our opponents and came in second place between two classes. If we could go back and change anything, we would've used the fastest gear ratio possible to get to the top before our final opponent did as that is what they used to beat us up. Torque really was not an important factor with the Lego Mindstorm kit we used, so speed was more beneficial than torque was.
